Home For the Holidays!

Ah to be home again. Watching tv with my dad, listening to my nephew scream (as he has awoken and now wants to play) while my brother tries to get him back to sleep. Oh and currently we are watching "The Butcher". Not really sure if it is going to be good, bad or suck-awesome (I'll keep you posted).

So now that I have packed my belongs for the next 5 days, and believe me this was a task. I mean I had to get clothes ready. And I hate having to plan ahead what I am going to feel like wearing, takes the spontaneity out of life!! Also, I had to pack books to read. and then how many books am I going to want to read while I am home? See the decisions that I had to make. Packing sucks. So after the 1.5 drive home, with surprisingly little traffic, I made it home.

Tomorrow morning I get to wake up and go to the grocery store to get pie ingredients. I am going to make pecan and apple pie this year. Which I am pretty excited about, as I make delicious pie. Now I want a piece of pie.

This movie hasn't gotten that horrible yet, although I am waiting for it to go down hill. I have a feeling that when it starts to get bad, it will be a quick downfall.

I think Jeep (my dog) has the right idea about sleeping right now. He kind of looks peaceful and snores a little. But in a cute way.

Oh, and Happy Christmas Eve!! I can't believe this year is almost already over. Kind of depresses me. If I had just gone to grad school after I graduated in 2008, I would either be almost done or graduating this Spring. Its a sad thought right? Life isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Reading Challenge?

So, I am thinking about doing a couple reading challenges this year. Yeah I am a total dork, that is going to participate in reading challenges for the new year. But whatever!! I am thinking of doing, TwentyTen--read 20 books, 2 from each category (obviously 10 categories) by 3/31/2010. Also there is, What's In A Name--read a book from 6 different categories.

Yeah, That is what I plan on doing for the next couple of weeks. I hope I can find some good books to read, or at least interesting books to read.

Oh, and if I were to post what I was currently reading. I would have to post like 5 or 6 books, sadly! Maybe my goal should be to just finish those books.....

And I am still watching episodes of Californication. The more I watch the show, the more it grows on me and I enjoy it. So very strange.

Californication...

So right now I am at my brother's house watching the offensive show, Californication. Basically it is soft core porn, I have come to the conclusion after 3 episodes. I mean all this guy does is fuck random bitches (yes, it is completely true). And yet, I find myself sitting here with the Madison (the small dog) enjoying the show. I know that I shouldn't. I know that it probably should offend me, or really any person that has self esteem, but I like the show. I am actually glad that I got the first 2 seasons for my brother for Christmas. Oh and his wife is snoring. And it is freezing in the basement. I wish I had like fourteen more layers of clothing on.
